Grateful for the Little Things

Here at Twig & Horn, our team delights in the details—what can we say, we’re makers after all. We never tire of adding special touches to each and every product we source, create, and share. And now, with the holidays just around the corner, we take extra care to disconnect from the never-ending list of to-do’s and relish in the simple pleasures the season brings: cozy times around the fire, piping-hot homemade meals, and night-after-night of Hallmark movies, to name a few. In the spirit of the season, we wanted to share some of our favorite ‘little things’ that we’re grateful for—things we personally believe spark joy each and every time they’re used.

Bone Tapestry Needle

Our heirloom quality Bone Tapestry Needles are meant to last a lifetime. Rugged and long-lasting, they’re the perfect tool for end weaving, kitchener stitching, and project finishing. Each tapestry needle is individually carved by a talented maker in Southern Georgia, and softly polished to a smooth finish. Looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one? You’re in luck, each needle arrives packaged in a corked glass bottle which can be used for storage or gift giving.

Concrete Notions Dish

Little but mighty, our Concrete Notions Dish corrals even the littlest of notions for safekeeping. A rustic yet modern take on a notions dish, its solid construction weathers the rush of any knitting frenzy. Let your creativity blossom from an organized workspace—declutter by keeping stitch markers, buttons, tapestry needles and other easy-to-lose items at hand in this attractively simple concrete dish.

Sock Stitch Markers

Travel back to simpler times with our vintage-inspired Sock Stitch Markers. Inspired by antique typewriters, you can almost hear the soothing click clack of keys as they slide onto your needles. Each charm is made of antique brass, features a black enamel finish, and offers unique contrast up against your knitting fabric. This set of specialty markers features standard abbreviations used most commonly for sock knitting, as well as typical bottom-up raglan sweater patterns. Abbreviations are displayed on one side of each charm—meaning you can flip them over to their plain sides to denote a row that will not decrease. Additionally, any of the charms can be made removable with our coordinating antique brass Removable Stitch Markers.

Sheep Sweater Fall Colorwork Pin

Last, but not least, meet the newest member to our K2TOG Club! The Sheep Sweater Fall Colorwork Pin is the perfect statement piece that embraces the bold and beautiful colors of fall. Fun fact: in most sheep, a white fleece is caused by a common dominant gene while a black fleece is caused by a recessive gene, making black sheep that much rarer of an occurrence. Pictured above in one of our Glazed Notions Dishes, alongside the vintage-inspired Sock Stitch Markers, this pin adds that extra special charm to any gift. Treat yourself, or the maker in your life, to this vibrant, colorful enamel pin—and delight in how effortlessly it’ll spruce up a project bag, jean jacket, or notions pouch!
