Iveland Slipper Socks
This pattern is available for FREE with any purchase of Finn Limited Edition.
Two-color knitting makes these slippers doubly warm, with two strands of yarn to cosset the foot instead of one. Back and front are knitted in different color patterns. The front has traditional Norwegian stars stacked toe to cuff, the back has a wallpaper diamond pattern. Separating these is a single column of garter stitch, which provides a guide to follow for the embroidered chain that divides top of foot from bottom. The socks start at the toe (in sturdy garter stitch), continue to the heel, then run up the leg as far as yarn and interest will take you. These could also be easily knit taller using the remaining yardage in the skeins required, if that’s your preference.
Foot circumference approx 8½ (9¼, 10)" [21.5 (23.5, 25.5) cm], length of foot from back of heel to toe approx 8½ (9½, 10½)" [21.5 (24, 26.5) cm]
